I left the website before the screenshots finished...
If you leave the site before the screenshots are finished, there's no way to get them back to you. If you enter your email you can leave the site and we will send you the screenshots once they are ready.
What if I want just 1 screenshot?
Before submitting your screenshot there is a toggle you can switch to "Single page". This will only take a screenshot of that url of the website.
My screenshots keep failing
Websites are complex and sometimes the screenshots fail. If you are having trouble, please contact us and we will tell you why we couldn't finish the screenshots.
The screenshots don't look like the website
If a website has a lot of animations, videos, or complex javascript, the screenshots might not look like the website. We do our best to take the screenshots, but sometimes it's not possible. If you are the website owner, consider disabling the animations, simplifying, or optimizing your site before screenshotting.
The screenshot quality is bad
We take screenshots of the full website, to save on storage costs we compress the images (jpeg format).
What size are the screenshots?
The screenshots are 1920 width and 1080 height in pixels. If the website is longer than 1080 pixels, we take multiple screenshots and stitch them together.
Are there mobile screenshots?
Currently no - it only takes desktop screenshots, if you need mobile screenshots contact us to submit a feature request.
It gives an error saying to try again later
If you get an error, it means that the server is busy and too many people are using the screenshot. Sorry about that! Please try again later. We are working on improving the service.
I didn't get all the screenshots
We currently limit the number of screenshots to 100 pages because we are in alpha. In other cases, some pages fail to load and are not included in the final screenshots.
The images are not loading in the screenshots
We do our best to wait for images to load, if for some reason the website takes longer than 10 seconds to load, we take the screenshot without the images. If your site doesn't show many images, consider optimizing/compressing the images and reducing server response time.
I didn't receive an email with the screenshots
If for some reason the screenshots didn't finish or an error happened, you won't get an email.
How does this work?
We take screenshots of the full website, every page, and can send them to you in a zip file to your email. You can also download them individually.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the website. Usually it takes anywhere from 1 minute (5 pages or less), to 2 hours (100+ pages). If there are other people using the service at the same time it can take longer. If you enter your email we will send you an email once the screenshots are ready.
How much does it cost?
It's free to use.
Is there a paid version?
Currently no.
What if I don't receive an email?
Check your spam folder. The email will come from our robot - robot@fullwebsitescreenshot.com. Please whitelist / mark us as not spam! If you still don't see it, you can contact us and we will help you.
Why are there ads?
We need to pay for the servers and the bandwidth to send you the screenshots. The ads help us keep the service free.
How can I advertise?
You can contact us with your company and let us know you would like to advertise here and we will get back to you.
Why was Full Website Screenshot created?
We wanted to create a free tool that allows anyone to take screenshots of the full website. Instead of downloading for an extension and taking hours to take screenshots of every page, this can drastically cut down the time it takes to do that.

Why would I screenshot a full website?
There are many reasons to screenshot a full website. You might want to archive a website, keep a record of a website, or use the screenshots for a design or presentation.
My screenshot link no longer works
We currently only store the screenshots for 7 days. If you need the screenshots again, you will have to take them again.
